What to Expect When You Engage BusinessGhost
The Process
If you can spare just an hour a week, you can be a published author in a matter of months.
This is one of the most distinctive features about BusinessGhost—the fact that we only need an hour a week from your schedule. One of the main concerns of potential authors is where they will find the time in order to do interviews with their ghostwriter. At BusinessGhost, we recognize that our clients—business leaders, leading speakers, top figures in the worlds of sports and broadcasting, finance, healthcare, and other fields—consider time perhaps their most precious asset. So we make a very small intrusion on our clients’ schedules.
Michael has created more successful books than anyone alive today! That’s why he, of all writers, was invited to be an entrepreneur on ABC’s Shark Tank.
Here’s how it works:
In your first meeting with New York Times Bestselling Author and BusinessGhost CEO Michael Levin, you and Michael will work out three vital questions about your book:
1) Who is the primary audience for your book?
2) What action would you like that core audience to take as a result of reading the book or simply seeing you on TV or hearing you on the radio discussing your book?
3) What body of knowledge currently in your head would convince that group of people to take that specific action?
In other words, BusinessGhost books are often niche-oriented and always action-oriented. We recognize that “your niche makes you rich!” You may have a specific target market for your services, your products, and your ideas. Michael will personally work with you to determine the best possible book to cause your target audience to take the next step you desire.
Based on that initial conversation, Michael will draft for you a detailed table of contents that lays out the flow of information from you to your readers. You and Michael will discuss the table of contents to make sure it precisely reflects your needs. Once you and he sign off on the table of contents, you and Michael will begin weekly (or more often if you prefer) interviews—one interview, covering one chapter, each week.
The beauty of this approach is that you don’t have to devote large chunks of time to the book project. Few highly successful individuals have vast amounts of time for outside projects. But just about everybody can find an hour a week for something important enough.
What happens in those weekly hour-long interviews? You’ll enjoy a wide-ranging conversation with Michael, a gifted and highly-experienced interviewer, having written, co-written, or ghosted more than 100 books. Michael will draw from you in the conversation enough material to draft a chapter based on that interview. The reason the BusinessGhost approach to ghostwriting is so successful is that we never conduct wide-ranging, sweeping interviews about this, that, and the other thing. Instead, we stay tightly-focused on the chapter at hand. This means that we can accomplish all of the interviewing for a twelve-chapter book…in twelve hour-long sessions. No other ghostwriter has a proven track record of success with this extraordinary, proprietary method!
Next, you will receive each chapter in your inbox within two weeks of that chapter’s call. In other words, an interview that takes place on May 1st will result in a chapter in your inbox on May 15th. The May 8th interview will result in a chapter in your inbox on May 22nd. This means that you will have an immediate sense of how your book will sound, whether Michael is tracking with the way you like to express yourself, and so on. One of the worst problems in ghostwriting is when the writer does an enormous amount of interviewing, goes away for six months, and either turns in nothing at all…or, even worse, turns in an entire draft that is contrary to the desires and expectations of the client! We’ve seen this happen so often because many of our clients came to us after having had less-than-successful experiences with other writers. We eliminate that entire problem for our clients by providing them with chapters within two weeks of each call…so we can all be “on the same page” and certain that the book is headed in the right direction from the start.
You’ll provide notes, comments, and criticisms of each chapter, within two weeks of your receipt of the chapter. This means that there will be no lengthy, unwieldy rewriting phase once the initial draft is done. Once your manuscript is complete, Michael’s team will turn it into a completed book, taking it through the copyediting, polishing, design, and publishing phases, all within a ninety-day period once you declare the manuscript complete.
This means that you can expect to become a published author, with physical books in hand and the book available for sale on Amazon, available for order at Barnes and Noble bookstores across the country, and also deliverable as a Kindle book or download for the iPad and other e-readers…within seven months of the day you begin work with Michael! No other ghostwriting company can make that same claim.
